Article (a,an,the)

Article

In English, we often see sentences which use a,an,the in it. They are called article. In English grammar has two of kind article that is indefinite article (a,an) and definite article (the).

- Article “a” used before noun starting with a consonant.

Example: a mountain, a corner

But some noun beginning  with a consonant but sound vocal. We must use 

- Article “an”.

Example: an hour

When noun beginning with a vocal then we use article “an”

Example: an apple, an elephant

Some noun beginning with vocal but  prounountition with consonant sound.

Example: a university, a uniform, etc

- Article “the” use for specific word and definite article. This article used to explain the previous word.

Example: -    The moon is beautiful

-      The president is delivering his speech on television

1.   Jason’s father bought him a bicycle that he had wanted for his birthday
2.   The statue of liberty was a gift of friendship from – France to –United State
3.     Rita is studying an English and a math this semester
4.  The judge asked a witness to tell the truth
5. Please give me a cup of – coffee with – and a sugar
